Medical professional indemnity and general public and product liability cover need to be paid separately from your SASP membership fee

Recent communication from the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) to the insurance sector requires medical professional indemnity (MPI) and general public (GPL) and product liability (PL) premiums to be paid directly to the insurer or a dedicated premium collection agency, nominated by them. As a result, the SA Society of Physiotherapy (SASP) will not be involved in collecting or paying any MPI and/or GPL and PL cover on your behalf and this will not form part of your SASP membership benefits. You are responsible for obtaining your MPI and/or GPL and PL cover and paying the premiums separately from your SASP membership fee.
The SASP is not a licenced financial service provider and can therefore not provide you with any financial or insurance advice or services.
